MIKROFOON ROCKER KWEEK is also known as Kweek 5 R. Kweek is pronounced as Quake. MR.Kweek is rappin' since 1992. Back in the days there were no compact discs, but only the cassette tapes. He recorded his first verse with a headphone as microphone, a boombox to record on one side and a speakerbox with the beat on the otherside! Later on he had his stereo sound set and a karaoke microphone. Demo tapes and mixtapes sounded crapy most of the time, but the feeling was raw... and real! Everybody really did some effort to make there own recordings, to pass them out... on the streets. Copy the copied copy and pass them on. Makin' the quality of the sound even worse...
THAT'S HOW WE been doing things when I was younger. Now they got the internet and digital recording studios... at home. A lot of stuff chanced since then!
I'VE SEEN THE GAME CHANCE. I was there in the beginning. I was there when it wasn't accepted to rap in the Dutch language. I was there when a lot of them desided to switch to the Dutch language. I was there all the time. All this time I was rappin' in Dutch. I was there... and... I am still here!
